If you merely want to purchase the game without expansions and want to know whether the game is well-developed, it might have been easier to just. Why ask whether they plan to add the extensions if you were going to get frustrated by a discussion of whether the state of the game is such that adding more expansions makes sense?Īlso, didn't my and Chaney's answers pretty much address what was apparently your somewhat disguised actual intent? So, you aren't asking for the expansions, you just want to know if they plan to add them. My apologies if I was being dense and missed your intended point. I usually wait until the end of a game's development cycle before buying, and I guess you could say I'm asking if we there yet. Nobody seems to get it! I'm not ASKING for these expansions, I just want to know IF there are any plans to add them. Multiple times a day, people post in each of those threads that the game crashes irretrievably for no reason. The two threads that receive the highest frequency of new posts are the main bug thread (which now has 20 pages), and the thread entitled "Game randomly crashes." I've been waiting 2 years already for this to become a finished product and finally buy it. Is the situation really that that bad? I saw some Youtube videos and livestreams of it recently, and they've got me antsy. If not, the title has been abandoned since Preludes, unless you count updates that make things worse. Perhaps a new owner could achieve that, in which case there could be more DLC. I'd stay away from this digital version all together, until such time as updates actually fix the fatal issues. So, the crystal ball is even more clouded than usual, and we have only the Magic 8 Ball for guidance. The promise of fixes is continuing to not happen, in fact, there are more problems with each update. The implementation has been pretty poorly executed, and even the Fryxelius family has admitted it. And play-testing the patches and updates instead of just releasing bug-filled updates that have game-ruining problems. Sure, more expansions could be nice, but even better would be actually fixing the game. When Preludes was finally released, it caused all sorts of severe problems that have not been acknowledged or addressed by the developers. Somehow, after three years, the game still has numerous problems, including many that have been around since day one. During the 3 years of the existence of this game, there have been literally thousands and thousands of posts (probably thousands of THREADS) detailing and complaining about the endless glitches, bugs, rules errors, and terrible interface.
